Our Story

A few years ago, Army Colonel Fred Swope, the Garrison Commander at Fort Campbell, KY, shared an extraordinary idea with the late Ken Peck, a paraplegic who relearned the game of golf without the use of his legs. The idea—which was to design and construct dedicated golf facilities for wounded and disabled veterans—quickly gained momentum, and advocates laid the groundwork for today’s WOTG. One of the most notable advocates of the WOTG effort is golfing legend Greg Norman, who has pledged the support and leadership of the Greg Norman Golf Course Design company to help turn this idea into a reality.
